Men also garner two USTFCCCA Academic Selections

Jul. 30 - NEW ORLEANS, La. - The USTFCCCA released the 2009-10 Division II All-Academic honorees on the men's side, and a day after the CU women had a pair of athletes honored, the men's team also has two honorees on this year's list that includes 156 athletes at the Division II level. NSIC Showcase, Wyss Feature To Air On FS North This Weekend

May. 27 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The fifth and final installment of the 2009-10 Northern Sun Showcase will air on FS North on Friday, May 28 at 6:00 pm, Saturday, May 29 at 12:30 am and Sunday, May 30 at 12:00 pm.  Tune in to catch the feature on Concordia University pole vaulter Jayme Wyss, as well as a review of the SCSU men's basketball Elite 8 experience, a recap of the women's tennis season, a look at the father-daughter duo playing against each other, a recap of the spring sport seasons and much more!

Pair Of Women Field Athletes Rank High In Final NCAA Listing

May. 19 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Two members of Concordia University's women's track & field team reached NCAA provisional marks during the 2010 outdoor season and were among contention for the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Charlotte, N.C. during the last weekend of May.  Senior Jayme Wyss finished the season ranked 22nd nationally in the pole vault and just missed the cut for competition, the NCAA accepting 18 student-athletes to the Championships.  Senior Katie Johnson reached a provisional mark in the triple jump late in the season and was ranked 37th in the nation in the event.  The NCAA Championships will see 18 student-athletes triple jumping this year.  This is the first time in school history that two female track athletes have reached provisional marks in school history.

Tracksters Headline CU Athletes of the Week

May. 10 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - A pair of Concordia track & field athletes have been named this week's CU Athletes of the Week.  John Pimental won his fourth career long jump title at the NSIC Outdoor Championships last weekend and had his hand in 24 of the men's team's 68 total points at the Championships.  Katie Johnson reached an NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump at the title meet.  She helped to score nine of the CU women's total 15.5 points at the event.
