Bekah Roth to join the Golden Bear softball team
Nov. 17 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University women's softball head coach Bob Bartel has announced the signing of Bekah Roth of Shoreview, Minn. to a National Letter of Intent to play softball for Concordia University in the fall of 2010. Roth will enter Concordia University as a freshman next fall as a utility fielder for the Golden Bears softball team.
Softball Alumni Game Changes and Information
Sep. 21 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia softball alumni game, a clash between the record-setting 2005 squad and the sluggers of the current Golden Bear team, will be the first game played at the BRAND NEW Carlander Field! The game will take place as part of Concordia's 2009 Homecoming festivities on Saturday, October 3. The game time has been moved to 9:00 am. New Softball Home to be named Carlander Field
Aug. 05 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University athletic director Tom Rubbelke has announced that the new softball field on campus will be named Carlander Field while the concourse at Sea Foam Stadium will be named the Richard J. and Lorraine H. Carlander Family Concourse. The naming of the facilities was granted through a generous gift to the University on behalf of the Richard and Lorraine Carlander family.
Softball Coming Back to Campus as Ground is Broken on New Field

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The construction of Sea Foam Stadium continues to benefit Concordia University across the board with the CU softball team coming back to campus. Ground was broken on a new home field for the Golden Bear sluggers with the location being on Concordia Field, the former soccer field. The softball field is searching for a name and will be located adjacent to Barnes Field, home of the baseball team, directly to the west of and behind the Gangelhoff Center.

Two Of The Greatest Diamond Teams To Clash In Alumni Game This Fall!
May. 26 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia's homecoming weekend has an additional feature on tap for 2009, a softball alumni game pitting the record-setting members of the 2005 squad against the sluggers of the current Golden Bear roster. The 7-inning game will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, October 3 at Dunning Field, just before the 12 Noon start time of the homecoming football game at the new Sea Foam Stadium.
