Six Locals Sign For Golden Bear Soccer
Feb. 05 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University head soccer coach Joe Alianiello is pleased to announce that six student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent with the Golden Bear program. All six, Kellie Barnaby, Brittany Kapala, Kayla Kuczaboski, Chloe Moore, Christine Nalepka and Rachel Skog, are Minnesota natives due to graduate high school this spring.
Soccer Season Wrap Up
Dec. 09 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University women's soccer team finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 8-10-3, 5-6-2 NSIC. Soccer Squad Earns National Academic Award
Dec. 04 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University soccer team has won the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award. With a team cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2008-09 academic year, the Golden Bears join 331 other women's college squads (NCAA and NAIA, all divisions) as elite student-athletes. This is the third time that the CU soccer team has won the award, taking 2003 and 2004 honors as well.
Johnson named to 2009 Daktronics All-Central Region Women's Soccer Second Team
Nov. 17 - ALAMOSA, Colo. - Concordia University women's soccer senior Katie Johnson (M/F, Anoka, Minn.) has been named to the 2009 Daktronics All-Central Region Women's Soccer Second Team. Johnson was one of ten women's soccer players from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) who were named to the the Daktronics All-Central Region team. Other members of the Daktronics All-Central Region team are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). RELEASE
Warriors End Golden Bears Hopes of Continuing the Season
Nov. 04 - WINONA, Minn. - Winona State (16-4-0, 13-1-0) ended the Golden Bears season in the first round of the NSIC/U.S. Bank Soccer Tournament Wednesday evening with a 1-0 win. The Golden Bears end the season 8-10-3, 5-7-2 NSIC. BOX SCORE
