Ladies Move Up a Spot on Final Day, Take 3rd at Poston
Mar. 11 - FLORENCE, Ariz. - The 25th-ranked Concordia women's golf squad improved 13 strokes over their first round of play to move up from fourth to finish in third out of five NSIC teams playing at the Poston Butte Invite at Poston Butte Golf Club on Wednesday and Thursday. Freshman Laura Petterson paced the squad by netting a 10 stroke improvement with a 74 to tie for sixth with a 158 (+14). WOMEN'S RESULTS
Golf Teams Open Spring Season in Arizona
Mar. 10 - FLORENCE, Ariz. - The Concordia University men's and women's golf officially tee'd off for the spring season today at Poston Butte Golf Course on their spring trip. The men are competing head-to-head against Northern Sun foe Upper Iowa with Mesa Community College adding individual competitors. CU's men lead Upper Iowa by 13 strokes, shooting 304 paced by freshman John Potter who leads the field with a 73, firing a 35 on the front nine. The women sent five out on the scorecard, and all five carded an 84 and are tied for 10th in the 34 golfer field consisting of five NSIC teams. Golden Bear Golfers Set for Spring Season
Mar. 05 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Spring break has officially hit Concordia University's campus and with that the Golden Bear men's and women's golf teams will fly to Mesa, Ariz. for their 2010 spring trip and the start of the spring varsity golf season. The Golden Bear men's and women's teams will play six times in the spring as they look to compete for a spot in the NCAA Regionals in early May. It begins next week on Wednesday and Thursday, March 10-11 at Poston Butte Golf Course in Florence, Ariz.

Feb. 17 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University head golf coach Matt Higgins is pleased to offer followers of CU golf more options to keep up with his men's and women's teams throughout the regular season as well as the offseason. The Concordia golf program has launched a Facebook Fan Page and an Official Team Blog.
Golden Bears Ranked 25th in the Nation Heading into Spring Season
Feb. 17 - NEW YORK, N.Y. - The first Golf World/NGCA Division II Women's Golf Coaches' Poll of the spring season has been released, with the Golden Bear women's golfers being tabbed as the 25th-ranked team in the nation. They had previously been ranked as high as 19th and 20th during the fall season but finished fall unranked. They are the only team from the Northern Sun and the Central Region (adding the RMAC) to be ranked nationally.
