Alford Leads Golden Bears at CU Invite
Oct. 06 - LAKE ELMO, Minn. -- Paced by a career-best performance by senior Matt Alford (Orono, Minn.), the Golden Bears turned in a strong second round effort and finished seventh at the Concordia University Fall Invitational held at Tartan Park Golf Club on Sunday and Monday. Alford shot a career-low round of 72 in the first round of the invite and would add his third-best round on the second day with a 76 to finish tied for fourth with a 148, just four strokes over par at the Par 72 course. Blue and Gold Tied for Seventh after Round One
Oct. 05 - LAKE ELMO, Minn. -- The Concordia University men's golf program competed at the Concordia University Fall Invitational at Tartan Park Golf Club with the first round complete on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Bears sent two teams to the invite, with both the Blue and Gold teams shooting a 313 to tie for seventh out of nine teams competing. ROUND ONE RESULTS
Golden Bears in Seventh with One Round to Play at NSIC Championships
Oct. 01 - ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has released the standings for the NSIC Championships with two of the three rounds complete. The Concordia University men's golf team has moved up a spot after the second round, into seventh place on the team list while sophomore Kyle Lewis (Forest Lake, Minn.) is in 13th place with 167 points in a tight race among the individual leaderboard. Golden Bears Stuck in the Middle of NSIC/RMAC Fall Golf Tournament
Sep. 30 - HASTINGS, Minn. -- The Concordia University men's golf team finished eighth out of 15 teams at the NSIC/RMAC Fall Golf Tournament played at Hastings Country Club. Golden Bears Finish Strong at RMAC Fall Invite
Sep. 23 - KEARNEY, Neb. -- The Concordia University men's golf team saved their best for last at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Fall Invitational #2 at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course, shooting a 320+311+299=930 to finish 11th place at the 11 team invitational. The third round score of 299 was Concordia's season-low round as a team, five strokes better than their 304 in the first and second rounds of the NSIC Championships last weekend. FULL RESULTS
