2009-10 Recruiting Class Announced

May. 28 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University head men's and women's golf coach Matt Higgins has announced that five student-athletes, two men and three women, will join the NSIC Champion Golden Bear golf program for the 2009-10 season. He has signed two more men's golfers, C.J. Aadland (Pine City HS) and Cory Pike (Princeton, HS / Mesa Community College) to join John Potter (Woodbury HS) who signed during the early period last fall. The three women are Taylor Auman (Coon Rapids HS), Alicia Eckman (Park Center HS / Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Laura Petterson (Lakeville North HS).

Jarrett and Noser Earn Academic All-District Honors

May. 21 - LEXINGTON, Ky. - The 2008-09 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V teams have been released for the men's and women's at-large category with a pair of sophomore golfers, Nick Jarrett (Woodbury, Minn.) from the men's team and Molly Noser (Rochester, Minn.) from the women's team earning second team honors as voted on by the sports information directors who are members of CoSIDA District V.

Golden Bears Conclude Three Rounds at RMAC Championships

Apr. 21 - BUCKEYE, Ariz. - The Concordia University men's golf team concluded their regular season schedule by tying for 12th in a talented 15 team field at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships at Sundance Golf Course hosted by Western New Mexico. Sophomore Nick Jarrett tied for 15th in a 75 player field by shooting +14 in a 54 hole, three round event with a low round of 73 in the first 18. FULL RESULTS

Golden Bears Poised to Compete at RMAC Championships

Apr. 17 - BUCKEYE, Ariz. - The Concordia University men's golf team knew it had a tough road ahead this spring as they still had their sights set on a team regional bid. With the top-10 teams receiving invitations to the NCAA Central Regional in Lincoln, Neb., the fact that the team is still on the outside looking in isn't as dire as onlookers may believe. This weekend, the team travels to the RMAC Championships where 15 teams will be competing, but most notably, the field includes nine of the teams ranked in the region's most recent top-10 rankings. Golden Bears Tie for Fifth at NSIC Championships

Apr. 11 - LAKE CITY, Minn. - The young Golden Bears, led by three sophomores, continued to show their improvement has paid off throughout the season as they tied for second in the third of the NSIC Championships and finished overall tied for fifth in the league championship finals, moving up three spots after the final round of play. CU produced 19 team points this weekend for a three round total of 39. Minnesota State and Bemidji State tied for the most points at 58 with MSU taking the title with the tie-breaker.
