Stanzyk Places 20th At Lucian Rosa Invite
Oct. 11 - KENOSHA, Wis. - Senior Emily Stanzyk was the top finisher for the Concordia cross country teams at the Lucian Rosa Invite today, hosted by UW-Parkside. Stanzyk ran the best 5k of her career and placed 20th among 316 runners with a time of 19:09. The women placed 21st at the meet, while the men came in 26th place in the 8k run as both squads gear up for the NSIC Championships. Men's Results Women's Results
CU Continues Great Improvements in 2008 at Griak
Sep. 28 - ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Concordia University men's and women's cross country teams continued to show improvement up and down their roster yesterday as they ran at the Roy Griak Invite at Les Bolstad Golf Course hosted by the University of Minnesota. The women finished 22nd of 27 teams with 571 points.
Women Place Fifth at John's Invite
Sep. 12 - COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- The Concordia University women's cross country placed fifth in a competitve field at the 2008 Saint John's University Cross Country Invitational, finishing with 170 points. The Golden Bears came in behind Winona State (3rd) and St. Cloud State (4th), the three teams from the Northern Sun competing. The men did not have a team score, but were paced by junior Dan Schield (Two Harbors, Minn.) who finished 26th out of 143 runners in a time of 28:15. FULL RESULTS
Schield Takes 3rd At St. Mary's Invite
Aug. 30 - Concordia junior Daniel Schield took third place overall in the men's division of the St. Mary's Invite on Saturday. His time of 23:23.4 makes him the fastest man ever on the 4-mile course at St. Mary's. It is also a personal best for Schield. On the women's side, Emily Stanzyk ran a personal best 5K and took second among the competitors.
Golden Bear Men and Women Achieve High Academic Standing
Feb. 14 - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic Teams with Concordia University being one of the teams to achieve the honor for 2007.
