Fessler to be inducted to MN Girls Basketball Hall of Fame

Apr. 20 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association has announced the selection of Concordia University women's basketball coach Paul Fessler to the MGBCA Hall of Fame. Fessler will be inducted this evening at Macalester College along with Rodger Taylor, Faith Patterson and Kevin Anderson. The event is being held in conjunction with this weekend's Minnesota High School All-Star Girls Basketball Series. Fessler and the other inductees will be introduced at halftime of the all-star series' 6:00 p.m. game this evening at Macalester. MGCBA WEBSITE

Whiting Named to Second Team NSIC

Mar. 01 - BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Freshman forward Anika Whiting (Ashland, Wis.) was named to the All-NSIC Second team on Thursday. She was also honored by being placed on the All-Freshman team as well. In her rookie season she led CU with 10.8 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. She also finished the year with three double-doubles. FULL RELEASE

Concordia Holds of SCSU in 68-65 Win

Feb. 25 - ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Concordia (11-18, 8-14 NSIC) ended St. Cloud State's (13-13, 10-12 NSIC) post season hopes with a three point win in St. Cloud finishing their season on a winning note. Carissa Wolyniec (Minneapolis, Minn.) had 20 points to lead the offense hitting four three pointers. Jodi Batzel (Rochester, Minn.) added 12 points and eight rebounds. BOX SCORE

Concordia Hopes to Play Spoiler

Feb. 21 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia (10-17, 7-14 NSIC) will play St. Cloud State (13-12, 10-11 NSIC) this Saturday afternoon in their last game of the 2011-12 basketball season.
