"The mission of the athletic department at Concordia University, St. Paul is to build and maintain academic and athletic excellence. Through participation in intercollegiate athletics, our student-athletes are challenged physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually within the context of the Christian Gospel and in accordance with the mission of the university."

Concordia University, St. Paul is the only private, NCAA Division II institution in the Twin Cities area and the athletic teams have produced great results in recent years. Upon making this move to Division II in 1999, the athletic department has also seen an increase in the number of student-athletes. Now in the 10th year of NCAA Division II competition, an on-campus athletic stadium and outdoor track will have significant and far-reaching impact as the Golden Bears strive to continually reach the next level, athletically and academically.
Prior to Concordia's 2008 homecoming football game, Mr. Phil Fandrei ('51) graciously presented the University with a donation of five million dollars on behalf of Sea Foam Sales Company to be used for the on-campus stadium project, to be named Sea Foam Stadium.

The stadium would seat approximately 3,500 spectators for all events and would allow Concordia eligibility to host NCAA Division II national tournaments.
| INCREASED VISIBILITY |
|
| * Will attract large numbers of non-Concordia athletes, parents and spectators from throughout the Midwest, giving many new opportunities for Christian witness |
| * High Impact, low cost way to increase campus visibility in the community |
| PARTNERSHIPS, SPONSORSHIPS & RENTALS |
|
| * Appealing location for potential sponsors |
| * Highly visible location enhances institutional presence and name recognition |

The location of the stadium will provide great exposure for the campus from Interstate-94. There are over 180,000 cars that pass by the site on I-94 and another 16,000 on Hamline Avenue daily, making the stadium a presence for all motorists passing by. During the winter months, the field surface will be covered with an inflatable bubble or "mini-dome." This provides an advantage not only the Golden Bear athletic teams but also the surrounding community, with the facility being capable of remaining open year-round.
