ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University athletic department held a special ceremony this morning to unveil the volleyball team's 2009 National Championship banner. With a special appearance from St. Paul mayor Chris Coleman and some fireworks to light the way, the members of the three-time Division II championship team showed off their new adornment to the Gangelhoff Center, a third banner that rests between the 2007 and 2008 title banners. The Concordia squad is the first team in Division I and Division II volleyball to three-peat as national champions. They went 37-0 as the second undefeated program in Division II history. They also have an NCAA record 74 consecutive wins. Turn your dial to KARE 11 tonight to watch the unveiling coverage!
