Golden Bears Finish Atop Final AVCA Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. - With the national championship in hand, the Golden Bears of Concordia University ended the season where they started, ranked #1 in the Bison/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll, released Monday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).  The Golden Bears were at the top in nine of the season's 13 polls.  They finished the year 37-1 overall with their second consecutive NCAA championship title.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference was well represented in the poll, with five teams making the list of the nation's top 25. Falling behind the top-ranked Golden Bears was Southwest Minnesota State at #8, Minnesota Duluth at #9, Augustana College at #22 and Wayne State College at #25.
