ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University women's basketball team is making their final preparations before they head out to sunny California to open the 2008-09 season.  The team will play three games at the 2008 Disney West Coast Tip-Off Classic this Friday through Sunday.  Check back for more information on how to follow the team via live stats.

The season opening action will take place in Anaheim, Calif. as the Golden Bears meet up with Central Washington on Friday at 7:00 pm (CT).  They continue with a 2:00 pm game against Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday and wrap the trip up against the University of Indianapolis on Sunday at 6:00 pm.  The games are the first of the year for all four teams involved at the Tip-Off.

Concordia University is the two-time reigning NSIC regular season and tournament champion who finished the 2007-08 campaign with a final mark of 28-3, tying the mark for the program's best record.  The team lost a lot of experience from last year's squad but is confident in it's chances with the addition of talented freshmen and transfer athletes, combined with the team's returners.  The Golden Bears were picked third in the NSIC preseason poll.
