Wallin, Stanzyk Earn All-NSIC Honors at NSIC Championships

Oct. 20– Concordia senior Shae Wallin and junior Emily Stanzyk earned all-NSIC honors at the 2007 NSIC Championships Saturday in Winona.  Wallin finished eighth in a time of 23:31.5, while Stanzyk was tenth for the second straight year, crossing in 23:44.4.

The Concordia women finished in fifth place for the second straight year.  The last time the Bears team were within 7 points (or closer) of 3rd place was 2002 when CSP finished 4th and was 2 points from 3rd place.

MSU Moorhead won their sixth NSIC title and second in three years with Anna Vanwechel of MSU Moorhead winning the individual title with a time of 22:34.5 over the 6K course.

31st- Megan Fulton - 25:07.9
     (Personal Best by 34 seconds.  Season best by 34 seconds.  Improved her time by 34 seconds since the Pine Hill Invite which was her last race two weeks ago.  Her personal best means she is the 11th fastest CSP woman individual runner for 6K in school history.
34th- Kendall Bruhl - 25:19.1
     (Personal Best by 51.6.  Season best time by 57.6 seconds.  Improved her time by 57.6 seconds since Pine Hill Invite which was her last Race two weeks ago.  Her personal best means she is the 12th fastest CSP woman individual runner for 6K in school history. 
38th- Sandra James - 25:28.1
     (Personal best by 8.2 seconds.  Season best by 8.2 seconds.  Improved by 8.2 seconds since Pine Hill Invite which was her last race two weeks ago.  Her personal best means she is the 13th fastest CSP woman individual runner for 6K in school history.

MEN'S RESULTS

On the mens side, Dan Schield led the way for the Golden Bears with a time of 27:15.3 to earn a place of 13th. The team finished in 6th place at the NSIC Conference Championships, marking the first time in school history the men posted a team score.

MSU Moorhead took the men's team title for the second straight year and 15th time in school history with Dragons harrier Kyle Eckhoff taking top honors in the NSIC with a time of 26:00.2 over the 8K course.
