SAAC was very busy during Concordia’s homecoming week, September 29th-October 3rd.  On Thursday night SAAC hosted its first Wii Olympics in the Student Union.  There were 3 televisions and 2 projectors set up to Wii systems.  Each system played a different sport and students could enter to play in any of the tournament.  Snacks and beverages were provided for the competitors!

SAAC also hosted its 2nd Annual Pie the Professor during homecoming week.  Students and faculty could vote all week long for $1/vote with an unlimited number of votes possible.  Voting closed at halftime of the football game and the three contestants with the highest number of votes got the pie in the face out on the field in front of everyone!!  Contestants were: Phillip Hampton, Nancy Harrower, Rosie Braun, Renee Rerko, Tom Mauer, Tom Rubbelke, Dave Woodard, Kristen Schmidt, Joe Alianiello, and Jarred Sampson.  The winners were Tom Mauer, Kristen Schmidt, and Dave Woodard!!!!

SAAC created a new event this year called Duct Tape the Professor.  Again, voting was open all week and closed at the intermission of the homecoming volleyball match on Saturday.  Contestants were: Rob Krueger, Sarah Jahn, Jason Rahn, and Briana Eicheldinger.  Rob Krueger had the most votes and was duct taped to the wall, hanging there for the final set of the match.

SAAC wants to thank all the contestants for volunteering and those who donated for making these events a success!

Over $350 was raised for Make-A-Wish Foundation!!
