OMAHA, Neb. - Laura Petterson (Fr., Lakeville, Minn.) led the Golden Bear golfers at the Maverick Invite earlier this afternoon. Petterson is tied for 3rd place after the first round of play at Ironwood Golf Course. The freshman shot a 75 to lead all CU golfers. The Golden Bears sit in 4th place out of 10 teams at the Maverick Invite. ROUND 1 RESULTS

Junior Kaytie Spangler (Ely, Minn.) is just two strokes behind Petterson as she shot a 77 and sits in a tie for 10th place after the first round of the Invite. The Golden Bears are taking up a lot of room in the middle of the field as 3 of the 5 golfers finished round 1 in the top-20. Molly Noser (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) shot an 80 and is tied for 16th place after the first day.

Senior Amanda Bearson (Lanesboro, Minn.) shot an 85 and is tied for 29th place. Just two strokes behind Bearson is freshman Taylor Auman (Coon Rapids, Minn.) who shot an 87 and is tied for 33rd.
