MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Led by sophomore Kaytie Spangler (Ely, Minn.) and a deep team roster, the Concordia University women's golf team is tied for first place at the Red River Invitational played at The Meadows Golf Course. Spangler is tied for first after firing a 78 to pace the Golden Bears, who shot a 321 to tie for the top spot with NCAA D-I North Dakota State.
Sophomore Molly Noser (Rochester, Minn.) is only a stroke back of Spangler and is tied for fifth. Senior Jacquelyn Hauser (Caledonia, Minn.) and junior Amanda Bearson (Lanesboro, Minn.) are each tied for 10th with rounds of 82 while senior Carley Paulseth (Moose Lake, Minn.) shot an 84, tied for 16th.
Seven teams are competing at the Red River Invite, three NCAA Division I programs (North Dakota State, North Dakota, South Dakota), three NCAA Division II programs (CU, MSU Moorhead, Bemidji State) and a Division III team (Concordia-Moorhead).
