Golden Bears set to compete in Roy Griak Invite

ST. PAUL, Minn. -  The Concordia University Cross Country teams are set to compete in their second meet of the season. The two teams will travel across town Saturday morning to compete in the annual Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota Golf Course.

After having their first meet of the season canceled due to poor weather conditions the cross country runners will compete in just their second meet of the season. CU had a late start to their season and didn't compete until Sept. 19 at the St. Olaf Invite.

Megan FultonJacob WomeldorfThe Golden Bears look to run into their second meet of the season in full-swing, having plenty of time to prepare themselves for the meet. The men's squad is coming off of a 15th place finish at the St. Olaf Invite where junior Jacob Womeldorf finished 51st with a time 27:57 to pace the CU runners. Megan Fulton paced the women's team finishing 103rd out of 266 runners with a time of 25:56.

The women's team will toe the line for the gun blast at 9:45 a.m. while the men will gear up for their 11:20 a.m. start.
