Maggie McNamara

ST. PAUL, Minn. - For the second consecutive week, junior Maggie McNamara (Zumbrota, Minn.) has been named the NSIC Setter of the Week.  McNamara powered the Concordia offense to four more wins last weekend, playing in front of a home audience for the first time this season and downing two top-ten ranked teams.

Incredibly, McNamara managed to bump her assist average even higher last weekend than it was the week before, when she was named the NCAA Division II's Player of the Week.  She had 196 feeds on the weekend for an average of 14.00 assists per game.  She also averaged 2.29 digs per game and had six blocks and ace serves each to push her team to an 11-1 record.  Backed by McNamara, the Golden Bears hit .302 last weekend.

A two-time All-American, McNamara had at least 42 assists in every match played at the CU Radisson-Roseville Tournament and went over the 50 assist mark twice.  In a 3-1 win over #8-ranked Augustana College, Maggie marked a double-double with a weekend high 55 assists and ten digs.  She also had three block assists.  In the team's 3-0 win over #5 Truman State, McNamara had 42 assists, three ace serves, five digs and a solo block.  This marks the 12th time in her career that McNamara has been named NSIC Setter of the Week.
