Wolf Introduced as Assistant SID

Aug. 01Melissa WolfConcordia University athletic director Tom Rubbelke has announced the hiring of Melissa Wolf as assistant sports information director. Wolf comes to Concordia from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D.

"We are very excited to bring in someone with Melissa's qualifications into our athletic department," said Rubbelke. "With her experience in our league she is ready to succeed at CU right away."

Wolf was at Northern State for two years serving as the sports information director where she was responsible for publicity and media relations for all 18 of the Wolves athletic teams.

Prior to her time at NSU, Wolf completed a graduate assistantship at St. Cloud State University's athletic media relations office where she was the primary contact for volleyball, women's basketball, wrestling, baseball and softball for the Huskies. She also assisted in virtually every other sport for the Huskies, including football, soccer and SCSU's NCAA Division I men's and women's hockey teams.

She also served a brief stint as a media relations assistant at Texas Tech University before accepting the job at Northern State.

She is a 2002 graudate of St. Cloud State University where she was a student-athlete, playing volleyball for the Huskies from 2000-02.

Wolf is a native of Young America, Minn. where she graduated from Central High School.
