Johnson was also a standout soccer performer in her athletic career at Concordia and finished her 2010 season on the track & field squad on top. She met an NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump and set a new CU outdoor record in the process at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with a leap of 38 feet, 1.5 inches, taking fifth in the league championships. She was CU's leading individual point scorer at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with nine total points for her squad. She's earned academic and athletic distinction on the soccer field and as a track star throughout her time at Concordia. Her provisional mark at the NSIC Championships finished the season ranked 37th in the nation.
Wyss also hit an NCAA provisional mark as a senior as the Johnson/Wyss duo became the first set of female athletes at Concordia to reach provisional marks in the same season in 2010. Wyss' top vault ranked 22nd in the nation at season's end, just missing the 18-athlete cut for the NCAA Championships. She reached her mark of 11 feet, 10 inches as she captured top honors in the event at the Hamline Capitol City Invite. Wyss had a unique journey to her pole vaulting success at Concordia as a self-instructed backyard athlete-turned Division II record holder. While her athletic journey was indeed newsorthy as she was featured in the Star Tribune, she was able to achieve great success in the classroom throughout her collegiate career, which also included a wedding to a teammate (Andy Wyss) on the men's team!
