Jul. 09

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University's women's track & field team has been named to the 2009 Division II US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic list, as announced Wednesday by the USTFCCCA.  This is the fourth straight year that the CU women's track & field team has earned the academic distinction.

The Golden Bears compiled a team GPA of 3.080 through the 2008-09 school year, ranking 64th in the nation and ninth in the 14-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.  One of the highest academic rankings for the Concordia women's squad came following the 2006-07 season when they were ranked 31st in the nation for team GPA.

Concordia's track and field teams will kick off the new 2010 season at their own facility next spring, breaking in the track on the new Sea Foam Stadium.  Check back to the CU track & field website at a later date to view their competition schedule.
