May. 11– Concordia University freshman phenom Kelly Godwin was selected to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) North Region First Team at the NGCA Division II Awards Banquet held in Pensacola, Fla.

Godwin, Concordia's second women's golfer to qualify for the NCAA North Central Regional Championship event, took third place at the regional and earned a spot to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships, one of just 48 women's golfers in the nation to compete for a National Championship. She becomes Concordia's first-ever national finalist in women's golf and paced a Golden Bear squad that finished third at the NSIC Championships in 2006-07.
