Golden Bears Host Winona State in Regular Season Finale

May. 02– ST. PAUL, Minn. - This afternoon, Concordia University will host Winona State in the Northern Sun's regular season weekend finale. The Golden Bears and Warriors will play a four game series, with Saturday games at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday games at noon. Sunday is senior day, as CU's nine seniors will leave a program that has posted a 118-58-1 overall recofrd in four seasons including an NSIC Championship and the school's first ever NCAA Tournament appearance by a men's team. In the past four years, three of the four seasons saw the Golden Bears either tie or set the school record for wins, with the nine seniors this year contributing to a record 32-17 overall mark. With four games to play, CU is still fighting for an NSIC Tournament berth as well. The Warriors are third in the league at 19-9 in NSIC play while CU is tied for eighth at 13-14. WSU is 22-13 all-time against CU, including 8-2 against CU at Barnes Field. But, CU has turned it around in recent history, going 9-5 in the last 14 including Jake Schmidt's walk-off homer in their last meeting at Barnes Field in 2008. LIVE STATS - WEEKLY RELEASE
