Apr. 29– The Concordia University baseball team will close out the 2008 regular season this weekend with a four game series against Northern State with the NSIC tournament the following weekend. This Saturday, the baseball booster club will host the second annual Pancake Breakfast while Sunday marks Senior day. The weekend kicks off with the 9:30 a.m. breakfast while the senior festivities begin after game two on Sunday at Bob Barnes Field.
Baseball Team Pancake Breakfast, May 3
The Baseball Booster's second annual Pancake Breakfast will be Saturday morning, May 3 at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Dining Hall. This is a fundraiser and everyone is invited! This is not an event where you can come in anytime. This is a set program that will start promptly at 9:30.
Former CU All-NSIC pitcher Geoff Bray will be our guest speaker. If you are interested in being a Table Captain, please contact Captain David Utoft at david.utoft@pearson.com. If you want to volunteer at the breakfast, contact Karen Bryce at akbryce@comcast.net.
When the breakfast is over around 11:00 am, walk over to Barnes Field to watch the Golden Bears play their final home regular season games against Northern State University at 12:00 p.m. Last year's breakfast was very successful and we are hoping that this year will be even better!
Senior Day, May 4
Sunday, May 4th, will be Senior Day at Barnes Field. The Golden Bears will be playing their last regular season games against Northern State University. In between games, Coach McKenzie will be honoring seniors Joe Abellera, Bryan Bach, Ryan Fixell, John Maciej, Derek Mason, Eric Utoft, and Jake Waldman and their parents. Everyone is invited to see these seniors play at home for the last time. The first game is scheduled for 12:00.
The senior festivities begin after game two is complete.
