Apr. 29– The Golden Bears will enter the 2008 NSIC tournament as the fifth seed.  They will play fourth seed Mary in the opening round on Friday, May 2 at 12:00 on the Mashall Softball Complex field in Marshall, MN.  Southwest Minnesota State, the winner of the regular-season title will host the tournament.

Win or lose the first game, Concordia will play again at 4:00 on Friday, May 2.  If they win their first game, they will move to the winners half of the bracket at play the winner of the Southwest Minnesota State/Bemidji State game on SMSU Field.  If they lose the first game, they will play the loser of the SMSU/BSU game at the Marshall SB Complex and have to work their way back into the championship game.

The double-elimination tournament is scheduled to be played May 2-3 with the winner of the tournament receiving the NSIC automatic bid to the NCAA North Central Regional tournament to be held May 8-11 at a site to be determined.

#2 Winona State vs. #7 MSU Moorhead, 10:00 - SMSU Field
#3 Wayne State vs. #6 Upper Iowa, 10:00 - Marshall SB Complex
#1 SW Minnesota State vs. #8 Bemidji State, 12:00 - SMSU Field
#4 Mary vs. #5 Concordia - 12:00 - Marshall SB Complex
