ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University sophomore Kaysee Nesmoe continues to put up new school records as a member of the Golden Bear women's track & field team. At the Hamline Twilight on Wednesday evening, Nesmoe increased her record mark in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 9.75 inches, bumping her among the top ten best marks in the NSIC for the season. Another first place finish for the women's team yesterday came from Katie Johnson in the long jump. Johnson won the event with a leap of 17 feet, 5.25 inches. Sandra James pulled in a third place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:42.98, while Hayley Reed gave the Golden Bears another third place finish in the high jump, clearing 5 feet, 1 inch.
Concordia's men's team also competed in the neighborhood at the Bolstorff Twilight on the campus of Macalester College. They posted a series of top ten finishes, including two event wins from freshman Diahn Zeon. Zeon took the top spot in both the 100m and 200m dashes, recording times of 10.82s and 22.01s, respectively. They had three other athletes place in the top five of their events.
