Apr. 19– Sophomore Katie Johnson and junior Tre Salyes (Woodbury, MN) competed Saturday at the Beach Invitational on the campus of Cerritos College in Norwalk, California.  Johnson competed in three events and broke her own school record in the triple jump with a jump of 37-5, to finish 10th of 21 competitors.

She also competed in the long jump, leaping 17-4 1/4 to finish 23rd of 42.  In the 200m dash she finished 27th of 61 in a time of 25.73.

Sayles finished ninth in both events he competed in.  In the triple jump he leaped 45-7 1/4 (20 competitors) and in the long jump he jumped 22-8 (36 participants).
