ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Paul native and 2007 graduate of Highland Park Senior High Kenzie Tenter-Fox will return to the Twin Cities to race with the Concordia University women's track & field team. Tenter-Fox will transfer into the Golden Bear program to compete in the navy blue and gold next season.
"I am very excited about the addition of Kenzie to the Golden Bear track & field team," said head coach Jarred Sampson. "Kenzie is a quality student-athlete who has the ability to contribute in multiple events, including sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws. She will add much-needed depth to our women's team in a variety of areas."
Tenter-Fox was a four-time track letterwinner at Highland Park High School, where she also lettered five times in hockey and once each in tennis and cross country. As a track athlete, she was named All-Conference twice and All-Conference Honorable Mention three times. She helped guide her track team to a conference championship in 2006. As a member of the hockey team, Tenter-Fox's Scots won the conference title in 2006 and were the Section 2 runners-up. She received the AAA award at her high school for excellence in academics, athletics and art. At Concordia, Tenter-Fox plans on majoring in education with the intent of becoming a teacher.
Kenzie Tenter-Fox spent the past two years as a student at St. Cloud State and did not compete as a student-athlete.
