Bears Take Third at Minnesota State Invite - Second Day Cancelled

Apr. 10– The Concordia University men's golf squad finished third of four teams at the Minnesota State University, Mankato Invitational in Prior Lake, Minn. The Bears finished with a team score of 322 led by Steven Atwood who fired a 75 to finish tied for fourth out of 20 golfers.

Rounding out the day for Concordia, Danny Johnson shot an 81, Nick Gallaway a stroke behind at 82, Matt Alford at 84 and Lance Meyer finished with an 89.

The second day of the invitational was called due to poor weather conditions. Minnesota State University, who fielded two teams at the invite, took first and second. Their first team shot a 277 while their second team shot a 297. Bemidji State finished fourth to round out the event.

Concordia's men's golf team will return to action Apr. 16-17 when they host the Concordia University Invitational at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minn.
