LINCOLN, Neb. - Competing at the site of the 2009 NCAA Central Regional, Wilderness Ridge, the Golden Bear men showed a three stroke improvement on day two. After being tied for fifth after the first 18 holes, Concordia jumped up to finish in sole possession of fourth place, firing a 306-303=609. Sophomore Alex Timm (Hopkins, Minn.) took sixth place firing a 72 today to finish with a 148. RESULTS
It was a solid team effort for the Golden Bears as two others were within four strokes of Timm's team best finish. Sophomore Kyle Lewis (Forest Lake, Minn.) shot a 74 today to finish at 151 while sophomore Nick Jarrett (Woodbury, Minn.) was powered by a 73 on the first day before finishing at 152.
Concordia returns to the links on April 4-5 when they compete in the Upper Iowa Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa.
