ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University athletic department hosted a successful fifth year of the Put Me In Coach athletic fundraiser and would like to thank all attendees for their contributions. The turnout neared the record number of 150 set at Put Me In Coach IV and was held on Saturday, March 21 at the Buenger Education Center.

The night was designed to recognize some of the university's best athletes for their competitive success and off-court achievements. The "Top Four" recognized this year were Carley Paulseth (women's golf), Maggie McNamara (volleyball), Jon Pimental (football/track & field) and the institution's first-ever repeat Top Four honoree, Kirk Ingram (baseball). Each athlete was intruduced by their coach or a CU staff member who has played an important role in their collegiate experience.
The night also served as a key fundraiser to directly benefit Concordia University student-athletes. There was a silent auction featuring items such as vacation packages, jewelry, sporting memorabilia and more! Food and beverages were served while contributors perused the auction items. Additionally, there was a raffle for a trip to Las Vegas and a bowling night for up to 40 people.
Local favorite "Amazing Hondo" thrilled guests with magic tricks throughout the social hour and put on a special performance prior to the Top Four ceremony.
The Concordia athletic department would like to thank all contributors and participants that made Put Me In Coach V such a great success. The event is an annual highlight of the school year for everyone involved and the hope is for the event to grow each and every year!
