ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University's Kali Olstad has been recognized for her excellence as a complete collegiate student-athlete, being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. The college division of the program combines all NCAA Division II and III schools, as well as all NAIA division programs in the district, making Olstad's recognition on the Third Team a huge accomplishment. Olstad was one of five NSIC players to make an All-District team in district 5 this season.
Senior Kali Olstad (G, Elgin, Minn.) has been a leading player for the Golden Bear women's basketball team throughout her four-year campaign at Concordia and has also excelled academically. An accounting/finance major, Olstad has maintained a 3.69 cumulative GPA as she heads into her final semester of athletic competition.
Olstad has had a great senior season so far, putting up a career high 8.3 points per game and nearly doubling her previous season high average on the glass, currently with a mark of 6.2 rebounds per game. She is a three-point sharp shooter for Concordia, ranking second all-time for most three-point shots made with 206 in her career. In her time with the team, Olstad has played in 106 games with 777 career points scored.
Olstad is a three-time Academic All-NSIC honoree. The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams are voted upon by the district's sports information directors. All First Team members become eligible for Academic All-America distinction.
