Women's Hoops Maintain A #23 National Ranking

Concordia University, ranked #23 in the nation.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia women's basketball team remains at #23 in the USA Today ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, released today by the WBCA.  The Golden Bears keep their current ranking despite dropping a game over the weekend.  They remain the only nationally ranked team in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), tied for first in the NSIC standings, and is one of two ranked teams in the Central Region.

Fort Lewis College, a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team located in Colorado, is the other ranked team in the region.  With a 20-2 overall record, Fort Lewis sits at #6 in the national poll.

The Golden Bears started the season with a perfect 10-0 record.  They are knotted for the lead in the NSIC with a 16-4 overall record and a league mark of 10-3.  Concordia has never been out of first place in the NSIC this season.  The team hits the road for a pair of games at Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth this weekend.  They have a high-scoring offense with 81.1 ppg and rank third in the nation with 13.7 turnovers per game.
