The Concordia University, St. Paul Athletics Department would like to thank everyone who participated in the first annual "Bowling for Bears" fundraiser that was held at Flaherty's Arden Bowl on January 19th in Arden Hills, Minn.

With temperatures well below zero, we still managed to fill the entire field with 108 bowlers.  With the alternate bowl format, the night was filled with laughter and fun.  It is because of support like this that Concordia athletics continues to excel.

Each two-person team bowled four games and the winners, with a total score of 624 were Mike Costello and Greg Brodd (pictured left with Athletic Director, Tom Rubbelke).  In addition to trophies for the Champion, Runner-up, and Third Place, we also honored the 20th place team. 

The night was highlighted by the Grand Prize raffle giveaway of airline tickets to anywhere Sun Country Airlines flies.  This trip was made possible from three generous sponsors: TCF Bank, Dianna Scheer, and Joseph Jamros.
