Melissa Wolf joined the Concordia University sports information staff in July of 2008. She is the primary contact for the majority of Concordia's women's sports programs, including volleyball, soccer, women's basketball and softball.
Wolf has been no stranger to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), coming to CU after running the sports information office at Northern State for two years. In her time in Aberdeen, S.D., Wolf was responsible for the publicity and media relations for all 18 of the Wolves athletic teams.
Prior to her time at NSU, Wolf spent two years in the sports information office at St. Cloud State, completing a graduate assistantship while working on her Master's Degree. She was the primary contact for volleyball, women's basketball, wrestling, baseball and softball for the Huskies. She also assisted in virtually every other sport for the Huskies, including football, soccer and SCSU's NCAA Division I men's and women's hockey teams.
After completing her GA stint at SCSU, Wolf served as a media relations assistant at Texas Tech University before accepting the job at Northern State.
Throughout her years at Division II institutions, Wolf has worked numerous conference and NCAA tournaments. She has been the media representative for three NCAA Elite Eight teams and hosted the 2008 volleyball National Championship. Additionally, Wolf has worked a variety of Minnesota State High School League state tournaments.
Wolf completed a bachelor of science degree in psychology from St. Cloud State in 2003. She was a student-athlete for the Huskies, playing volleyball from 2000-02. She completed her Master's courses in sports management in 2006. Wolf has coached Junior Olympic volleyball for nearly 10 years and has worked various summer camps throughout the region. She is a native of Young America, Minn. and is a graduate of Central High School.
