Val Olson
Val Olson was hired as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in June of 2008, only two years after leaving the Golden Bears after a successful volleyball career.

Olson earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science, sports psychology and sports management.

Her first experience working in athletic administration came in 2006 when she interned with the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. At the NSIC, she gained experience working with the National Letters of Intent program and performing various compliance duties with the league office.

She was a three-time NSIC All-Academic selection and earned the NSIC Women's Honor Student Athlete award. She was an all-conference and all-region performer and finished her career with 1,331 kills.

Upon her graduation from CU, Olson put away her volleyball uniform after helping CU to three NSIC titles and a 2003 NCAA National Runner-Up finish, Olson attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where she earned a master's degree in recreational management.

Prior to rejoining the Concordia athletic department, Olson spent time working with UW-La Crosse and University of Minnesota Recreational Departments, serving as an athletic administrator for each school's recreation teams as well as coordinating numerous special events.
