Nov. 20 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend's sports frenzy kicks it into high gear this afternoon as the Concordia women's basketball team hosts their annual Wildwood Lodgs Tip-Off Classic. The Golden Bears (0-0) open the 2009-10 season at 2:00 pm against Nebraska-Kearney (0-0). Get in the seats to see the first regular season basketball game this year!! In action at noon is Winona State against Wisconsin-Parkside.

Nov. 19 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - Top seeded and #1-ranked Concordia University (32-0) powered its way past no. 8 seed Colorado Mines (22-10) in the quarterfinals of the Central Region Tournament, hitting .340 with 45 kills in a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-10, 25-20). The Golden Bears advance to Friday's semifinal match against #17 Wayne State College, the tourney's no. 4 seed, played at the Gangelhoff Center at 8:30 pm. The Golden Bears have now won 69 consecutive matches, an all-time best for Division II play.

Nov. 19 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Golden Bear volleyball team has the luxury of sticking to their regular home routine this weekend as they host the 2009 Central Region Tournament. Top-seeded Concordia hosts No. 8 Colorado Mines (22-9) in a 7:30 pm match on Thursday, Nov. 19 with all other quarterfinal matches being played earlier in the day. The fiercest region of Division II volleyball is back at it again this season with seven of the eight teams ranked among the top 20 in the nation. ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University is pleased to unveil the newest addition to Sea Foam Stadium, unofficially known around campus already as "The Foam Dome," the bubble was inflated over the field in a matter of a few hours last evening. A full photo gallery has been uploaded to Flickr documenting the progress made during the three day process to fully install the dome. Numerous student-athletes, students, coaches and various members of the CSP staff and faculty family assisted in getting everything ready to go. The athletic department and the University are grateful for all those who were able to lend a hand. Although the dome is not yet open (the doors have yet to be installed), that is expected to change within the week, when more photos of the inside will be posted! FOAM DOME PHOTO GALLERY

Nov. 18 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - This Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m. the Golden Bear men's basketball team will take the floor for the official start of their 2009-10 season when they host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at Gangelhoff Center. Concordia is led by seniors
Craig Heiman (Marshall, Wis.) and
Mike Cunningham (Minneapolis, Minn.) who enter their final seasons on the hardwood in their fourth and fifth years in the program, respecitvely. Both are on the verge of reaching impressive career milestones, but as a duo, they will be relied on to blend a group of seven returners who accounted for nealry 80% of last year's scoring with seven newcomers who bring size, athleticism and talent to make this version of Golden Bear basketball fun and exciting on a nightly basis! Nov. 18 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University head men's basketball coach Kelly Boe has announced that Clay Olstad, a senior at Plainview-Elgin-Millville, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Bears in 2010-11.
Nov. 18 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University volleyball coach Brady Starkey has announced the signing of three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play volleyball for CU in the fall of 2010. Kayla Koenecke, Amanda Konetchy and Cassie Weaver will join the two-time defending National Championship volleyball team next season.

Katie Johnson (M/F, Anoka, Minn.) has been named to the 2009 Daktronics All-Central Region Women's Soccer Second Team. Johnson was one of ten women's soccer players from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) who were named to the the Daktronics All-Central Region team. Other members of the Daktronics All-Central Region team are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).

PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University women's softball head coach Bob Bartel has announced the signing of Bekah Roth of Shoreview, Minn. to a National Letter of Intent to play softball for Concordia University in the fall of 2010. Roth will enter Concordia University as a freshman next fall as a utility fielder for the Golden Bears softball team.
Nov. 16 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University athletic department, who has been selected by the NCAA to host the 2009 NCAA Division II Central Region Volleyball Tournament, will have plenty of Division II action going on at Gangelhoff Center this week. In addition to the regional tournament, which will be held Thursday, November 19 through Saturday, November 21, the CU men's and women's basketball teams will take the floor as well. The women will host the Wildwood Lodge Tip-Off Classic on Friday with games at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. and Saturday at 1:00 and 3:00 while the men will host UW-Parkside in their season opener on Saturday night with a 9:00 p.m. tip-off after the regional championship. Volleyball match times are on Thursday (12:00, 2:30, 5:00, 7:30), Friday (6:00, 8:30) and Saturday (7:00).
