Nov. 21 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The incredible run of the 34-0, #1-ranked Concordia University volleyball team continues with a 2009 Central Region title. The region championship trophy was won over #20 Metro State College (26-7) on Saturday evening in front of a crowd of 1,222 at the Gangelhoff Center, 25-23, 25-27, 25-15. This is the fifth Elite Eight berth for the Golden Bears in the last seven years. The team has won 71 straight matches, an NCAA Division II record.

Nov. 21 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - This evening after the NCAA Regional Volleyball Championship at Gangelhoff Center, the CU men's basketball team will officially open their 2009-10 season when they host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Tip-off is slated for 9:00 p.m., schedule permitting. The Golden Bears went 1-1 during the exhibition season, defeating St. John's and falling at Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Rangers, meanwhile, are 1-1 on the season, losing at home to Concordia-Wisconsin before defeating Northland College on Tuesday. Follow the game online!

Nov. 21 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Golden Bear women's basketball team lapped the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers (2-1) in a 75-57 win at the Wildwood Lodge Tip-Off Classic on Saturday afternoon. The team came up with 19 steals, the most swipes since a Jan. 27th game back in 2005. Behind a 21-point, nine rebound performance from tournament MVP

PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University volleyball team kicked its play into high gear to get past Wayne State College and make a 7th straight appearance in the Central Region Championship round. The squad still has an unblemished 33-0 record and has now won 70 straight matches, an NCAA record. They play for the region title Saturday at 7:00 pm, taking on a hot Metro State College team.

Paul Fessler kick-started the 2009-10 season with his 200th NCAA win. The Golden Bears (1-0) took an 86-63 win over Nebraska-Kearney (0-1) at their annual Wildwood Lodge Tip-Off Classic on Friday afternoon. The team had an especially strong second half, out-scoring the Lopers 46-27 to cushion the win.

The Golden Bears advance to Friday's semifinal match against #17 Wayne State College, the tourney's no. 4 seed, played at the Gangelhoff Center at 8:30 pm. The Golden Bears have now won 69 consecutive matches, an all-time best for Division II play.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University is pleased to unveil the newest addition to Sea Foam Stadium, unofficially known around campus already as "The Foam Dome," the bubble was inflated over the field in a matter of a few hours last evening. A full photo gallery has been uploaded to Flickr documenting the progress made during the three day process to fully install the dome. Numerous student-athletes, students, coaches and various members of the CSP staff and faculty family assisted in getting everything ready to go. The athletic department and the University are grateful for all those who were able to lend a hand. Although the dome is not yet open (the doors have yet to be installed), that is expected to change within the week, when more photos of the inside will be posted! FOAM DOME PHOTO GALLERY
