Volleyball- Slinger Becomes All-Time Digs Leader In CU Win
Nov. 06 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University senior Mary Slinger became the program's all-time digs leader on Friday evening, settling in with a grand total of 2,228 career digs at the night's end. The libero surpassed Megan Graham's mark of 2,214 and the Golden Bears (29-0, 18-0 NSIC) took a speedy 3-0 win over Minnesota, Crookston (5-23, 2-14 NSIC). The team can seal their 7th straight NSIC championship tomorrow evening, hosting MSU Moorhead at 5:00 pm. BOX SCORE
CrossCountry- Golden Bears head west for NCAA Central Regional Meet

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to familiar territory, Wayne, Neb. to compete in the NCAA Central Regional Meet which is hosted by Wayne State. After a disappointing finish at the NSIC Championships two weeks ago the cross country runners will look to make improvements in their final race of the season. The Golden Bears will go up against some of the best runners the nation has to offer. The Central Region features Adams State on the men's side who ranks No. 1 in the country in the latest rankings released yesterday.
Football- Three Student-Athletes Receive High Academic Honors
Nov. 05 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The 2009 Golden Bears have three players selected to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-District V Second Team, the most the Concordia football team has produced in a single year in the program's history. All three selections were juniors, punter T.G. Schoenberg (Woodbury, Minn.), center Israel Lopez (Milwaukee, Wis.) and defensive tackle John Borchert (Champlin, Minn.). All three earn the honor for the first time in their respective careers.
Soccer- Warriors End Golden Bears Hopes of Continuing the Season
Nov. 04 – WINONA, Minn. - Winona State (16-4-0, 13-1-0) ended the Golden Bears season in the first round of the NSIC/U.S. Bank Soccer Tournament Wednesday evening with a 1-0 win. The Golden Bears end the season 8-10-3, 5-7-2 NSIC. BOX SCORE
Football- Golden Bears Prepare for Beavers in 2009 Finale at Sea Foam Stadium
Nov. 04 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University football team, faced with the sixth-strongest schedule in NCAA Division II football during the 2009 season, faces one more tough test this Saturday, November 7 when they host Bemidji State University, the seventh-ranked team in NCAA Super Region 3 at 1:00 p.m. The Beavers are fighting for the sixth and final playoff spot this Saturday and must win to have a chance at the postseason or a Mineral Water Bowl invitation. Soccer- Johnson, Stimson named to All-NSIC Third Team
Nov. 04 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University soccer student athletes Katie Johnson (M/F, Sr., Anoka, Minn.) and Arielle Stimson (F, Fr., Lakeville, Minn.) have been named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Third Team, in an announcement by the league today. BasketballW- Golden Bears See Face Time In Preseason Poll
Nov. 04 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University women's basketball team received 22 points in the USA Today ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, released today by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The Golden Bears were the top point receivers in the NSIC behind #6 Minnesota State, who was the only league team ranked in the top 25 of the poll.
Volleyball- Golden Bears Survive Bulldogs, Take Sixth Straight
Nov. 03 – DULUTH, Minn. - For the first time since the 2008 National Championship match, the #1 Golden Bear volleyball team was pushed to a five set decision. The team proved they were battle-tested, however, taking a 3-2 win from their biggest rival, #16 Minnesota Duluth (24-26, 25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 15-10). The victory holds Concordia's record winning streak intact at 65 matches. BOX SCORE

Volleyball- Rivalry Headlines Run Down The Stretch
Nov. 03 – ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Golden Bears open a three-match week with a rivalry match TONIGHT at Minnesota Duluth (19-6, 12-3 NSIC). The Golden Bears, ranked #1 in the nation, play the #16 Bulldogs at 7:00 pm this evening. They then have their final homestand of the regular season this weekend with the chance to clinch a 7th consecutive NSIC Championship.
